<p>The same chain, with the deepest stone we use. A small round emerald-toned cubic zirconia sits in a four-prong setting at the front of the post, and a fine cable chain loops from the stone down under the lobe and back up to the butterfly fastening. Because the green is dark, the chain does most of the catching of light while the stone holds the colour — the two do different jobs, which is why this combination works better than it sounds on paper.</p><p>Wear them when you want a little movement without a full drop earring. The loop stays close to the ear, so they are fine under a polo neck or with your hair down. Green and gold together look genuinely old-fashioned in the good sense, like something inherited; green and silver read sharper and more contemporary. Available in gold and silver.
